Even if you are close to your ideal weight, you may still be frustrated by pockets of fat tissue that do not respond to diet or exercise.

Sufficient Skin Elasticity
At the Landings Surgical Centre, serving patients in Halifax, Prince Edward Island, and surrounding areas, tumescent liposuction is the most commonly used technique. This procedure involves the injection of a fluid consisting of an anesthetic and saline to loosen fat and minimize bleeding. After administering the tumescent fluid, our surgeons insert a suction tube through a small incision to remove the excess fat tissue.
Areas of the body such as love handles or male breasts respond better to ultrasonic liposuction. In this procedure, the suction tube vibrates at a very high frequency to break up fat deposits, making them easier to remove. Patients are evaluated thoroughly to determine which liposuction technique is best for them.
A Brief Recovery Period
First Few Weeks
Most patients are able to resume sedentary work less than a week after liposuction, and strenuous activity is safe within three weeks.
First Few Months
Residual swelling in the treatment area dissipates over the course of four to six months to reveal the full results of surgery.
With our exemplary safety record, very few patients who choose The Landings Surgical Centre for their aesthetic surgery needs experience serious complications from liposuction procedures.
